The color that comes to mind when I think of October is not orange pumpkins nor brown leaves; it is pink. Pink to raise awareness about breast cancer At Common Threads Printing we have been closely affected by breast cancer and we want to see the end of this dreaded disease.
Many outstanding organizations have attempted to draw attention to breast cancer. Unfortunately they neglect to honor the people they are trying to support. Whether it is encouraging women to post bra colors online or selling massively inappropriate shirts, these groups have turned us pink not out of support but out of sheer embarrassment. Alison Griswold (not sure about the relationship with Clark W Griswold but I digress) wrote a fantastic article about this at LifeTeen.
As I have mentioned, we at CTP wish to Be UNCOMMON and embrace all that is UNCOMMON. In an effort to raise money for breast cancer research and show dignity and honor to women who have fought this courageous fight; we announce the UNCOMMON Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirt.
Below is the shirt CTP has designed. We will be accepting orders until October 18th. Shirts will be shipped on October 25th. Message us on Facebook, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or click the link at the bottom of the page if you are interested in purchasing a shirt.
It will take 20 supportive people for us to be able to proceed with the order We have the orders we need to print the shirts! Shirts cost $15 plus shipping and $5 from every order will be donated to Gilda’s Club of Grand Rapids, Mi.
Please join in the fight to honor those who are fighting for a cure in an UNCOMMON way!
